Female rufous humming bird approaching a feeder, slams on the brakes and puts it in reverse! She is back peddling with her wings and has her tail flared and back arched. She is darker brown than many I have seen, but the beautiful iridescent green feathers are still visable on her back. Alpine, Arizona July 29, 09
