Profile of a Mandrill
The mandrill is the largest species of monkey. "Mandrill" means "man-ape" and is related to the baboons. It is an African omnivore, meaning it eats both plants and animals. The male has striking blue stripes on his face and, excuse my speech, butt. As he matures these blue markings get brighter and more pronounced. Photographed at the Dallas Zoo
