Between Grants and Quemado, New Mexico lies an area called The Narrows made up of an ancient lava flow on one side of the road, and high sandstone cliffs rising from desert terrain on the other. It is very beautiful. There is a long, strenuous trail on the top of the cliffs called The Narrows Rim Trail, which provides many wonderful views. July, 09
