With my fishing rod resting on a rock, I watched the bobber to see if I had a bite. Overhead an osprey circled Hulsey Lake looking for trout. I watched as he circled again, then dove deep into the lake, creating a big splash. For a moment the water returned to normal as if nothing had happened. Suddenly the bird rose from the depths and flew straight up with his prize...a huge trout. He circled the lake twice more with the sun shining through his wing feathers before heading off to his nest with the trout securely grasped in his talons. What an awesome sight!
