We left the cabin at 4:30 in the morning to drive to Terry Flats on Escudilla Mountain to catch the sunrise. We got stuck in a snow drift on the way down the mountain...with no shovel and no cell phone service. After digging with hands and coffee mugs until we could dig no more, I walked back to Terry Flats and finally found a signal long enough to contact our husbands. They, of course, also got stuck in a snow drift and had to dig themselves out, leave their jeep and walk up the mountain to rescue us... But these pictures were worth it, don't you think? I do.
