One of several different red headed woodpeckers, the Acorn has a red cap. This bird is often seen in the White Mountains of Arizona. This guy and the rest of his family like to raid my bird feeder, and have even been seen swinging on the hummingbird feeders! Alpine, Arizona 05-09
