These lovely fragrant blossoms were planted about 25 years ago by my mother. They are the first flowers to bloom in the spring around our log cabin in the Arizona White Mountains. They seem to be able to withstand just about anything: the freezing temeratures and snows of winter; elevation of over 8300 ft.; summer drought; elk and deer.
