Beautiful great blue heron takes flight on Luna Lake. The pick rock cliff (I've been told this rock is volcanic ryolite) is almost the color of the bird's neck feathers, and it seems to blend into the rocks. But the lovely wing feathers give it away... Alpine, Arizona 04-09
