Do Not Disturb!
A pair of sleeping ring-tailed lemurs bring their tails forward to use as fluffy pillows. How clever! Lemurs belong to a group of primates known as prosimians. The word "lemur" comes from Latin and means "spirits of the night". In the wild lemurs are only found on the island of Madagascar and some smaller surrounding islands. Most lemurs live primarily in the canopy of trees, with the exception of the ring-tailed, which remain mostly on the ground. ENDANGERED SPECIES Dallas Zoo
