While kayaking on Nelson Reservoir in the White Mountains of Arizona, I noticed some movement in the reeds. I quietly and slowly moved my kayak in closer. There was this elusive Yellow Rail; a very shy and fast little bird. I sat still for some time, until he got used to my being there. Briefly he stepped out of the reeds and I was able to get this shot.
